Team. As predicted in my June memo, the sky made noise. For several hours. Without warning, without an agenda, and without so much as a calendar invite.
My seven-page proposal to rename the holiday was not acknowledged. I am treating this as a procedural oversight rather than a rejection, and have resubmitted it for Q3 consideration. A follow-up hearing is expected in August. I will not be attending in person. I will be under the bed, available by request only.
Separately, and unrelated to the above: the mail carrier situation has escalated. A formal grievance has been filed. The mail carrier remains unaware a grievance exists. Rigatoni considers this the strongest possible position to negotiate from.
A status update:
-
Incident Response: I spent the evening of July 4th conducting a full facilities audit from underneath the bed. No further incidents were observed. I remained on duty.
-
Headcount: Still one. Rigatoni has reviewed several internal candidates for a Chief Backup Officer role and found none of them to be dogs, and has therefore closed the search.
-
Q3 Priorities: Continued monitoring of the porch, the mail carrier, and any suspicious garden hoses.
We move forward. Cautiously. Near the water. Both matters remain open and will be revisited next issue.
This is Issue No. 004. Rigatoni has now been operational for four consecutive months without incident, a streak he considers historic and increasingly fragile.
